The Reebok brand, a subsidiary of the German Adidas Group since 2005, may have a new owner.
Indeed, the group seeks to detach itself from it. Once a cultural icon, Reebok has struggled to etablish itself among trend-marker in recent years. The situation could change because new buyers including the former basketballer and the former rapper. They are looking to acquire the company that will be able to reap the $2,4 billion purchase price.
Negociations have now begun and if they are successfull, Master P and Baron Davis will give the British brand a new identity. That the brand is not just a brand of sneakers but that it becomes a lifestyle on its own right.
